My first blog

I have always wondered if there are other middle aged men who like to relax and enjoy a movie for the action that a film can provide versus the artisitic side that media critics care more about.

Take for example the film "Dirty Harry". When this film came out in the early 1970's, the critics ripped it as being too violent. I enjoyed the film for what it represented; seeing a cop get the bad guy while trying to protect the innocent. The opening seen was great with Harry trying to eat his lunch when the nearby bank alarm goes off and Harry is the first cop onsite to take care of business. And he most decidedly takes care of business.
Didn't that make you smile when he took care of the bank robbers? Harry showed no fear and went after the robbers and single handily killed one and wounded the other. We the 'middle aged men' know what Harry did is fiction but it made us feel good seeing him dispatch justice. We wish we could be like him at least while we are watching the film.
I will review films that I see at the theaters. As of now there are none that I care to see. Please check back.
